In Part 2 of our Pants on Fire series, we’re exposing one of the enemy’s most powerful lies—the belief that we are defined by what’s happened to us or by what we’ve done. Using the story of Mephibosheth, Pastor shares how God’s grace burns that lie to the ground and restores our true identity.

Just as David sought out Jonathan’s forgotten son to bring him from Lodebar to the king’s table, Jesus seeks us out in our brokenness to restore what shame and pain have stolen. No matter your past, no matter who’s dropped you, the King still knows your name. Your story may have started with pain, but it will not end with shame—you are not your limp, your label, or your failure. You are who God says you are.
